What you can create:
NCLEX-style MCQs with rationales. Export DOCX, PDF, ExamSoft.
Self-contained HTML files. Students open in any browser, no login needed.
Multi-part patient scenarios with branching decisions and realistic outcomes.
Complete PPTX presentations with learning objectives and key points.
You became a nurse to help people, not to spend weekends writing quiz questions
A clinical case study takes hours to build — the scenario, the decision points, the plausible distractors, the consequences that match what actually happens at the bedside. Generic AI speeds things up but doesn't know what nursing education requires: balanced answer distributions, proper drug naming, scope-appropriate scenarios. NursingEdAI does.
How it works
Describe what you need
Enter your topic, academic level, and number of questions. Upload your lecture slides or objectives for more targeted output.
AI generates your content
Claude AI creates clinically accurate content following NCLEX standards, Bloom's taxonomy levels 3-5, and proper drug naming conventions.
Refine and download
Review the output, request changes in plain English ("make question 5 harder"), and download in your preferred format.
See it in action
Watch a quick walkthrough of NursingEdAI to see how fast you can go from topic to finished content.
Built for nursing education, not generic AI
Balanced answer distribution
Every quiz distributes correct answers evenly across A, B, C, and D. NursingEdAI enforces a maximum variance of 1 position per question and checks for answer clustering. If the distribution is off, the system corrects it before you see the output. No intervention required.
Drug naming conventions enforced
Generic name first, brand name in parentheses on first mention, then generic only. Follows USAN conventions. For example: "furosemide (Lasix)" on first reference, then "furosemide" throughout. Abbreviations are always defined before use.
Clinical accuracy standards
Content follows current clinical practice guidelines, includes realistic vital signs and lab values, and ensures interventions are evidence-based. Case studies feature authentic patient scenarios with consequences that match clinical reality.
Upload your own materials
Upload lecture slides, learning objectives, textbook chapters, or clinical guidelines in PDF, DOCX, PPTX, TXT, or MD format. The AI uses your materials as context to generate content that matches exactly what you taught.
Refine with plain English
Not satisfied? Tell it what to change. "Make the questions more clinically focused." "Add pharmacology on beta-blockers." "Simplify the language for BSN students." Refinements are free and unlimited.
Export to any format
Download quizzes as DOCX, PDF, or ExamSoft-compatible format. Practice quizzes and case studies export as self-contained HTML files that work offline in any browser. Slide decks export as PPTX.
Built by a nurse educator who needed it
Paul Logan, PhD, CRNP is the AG-ACNP Program Director at Saint Joseph's University and sees patients at WellSpan Cardiology. He built NursingEdAI because he kept spending hours each semester building course content he figured AI could handle — if it understood nursing education standards. It does now.
